报告摘要:We consider the focusing cubic nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLS) in three space dimensions.  We discuss the problem of scattering below the ground state threshold.  We first discuss the original proof due to Duyckaerts, Holmer, and Roudenko, which employed the concentration-compactness approach to induction on energy.  We then discuss recent work of the Dodson and the speaker giving simplified proofs of the same result that avoid the use of concentration-compactness.  Finally, we discuss the analogous problem for the case of NLS with an inverse-square potential.
