报告摘要：Complex system of linear equations arises in many important applications. We further explore algebraic and convergence properties and present analytical and numerical comparisons among several available iteration methods such as C-to-R and PMHSS for solving such a class of linear systems. Theoretical analyses and computational results show thatreformulating the complex linear system into an equivalent real form is a feasible and effective approach, for which we can construct, analyze and implement accurate, efficient and robust preconditioned iteration methods.

报告摘要：In order to solve large sparse linear complementarity problems onparallel multiprocessor systems, by making use of the modulus reformulation of the target problems and the multiple splittings of the system matrices we design the parallel modulus-based matrix splitting iteration methods, the modulus-based matrix splitting two-stage iteration methods and their relaxed variants. We prove the asymptotic convergence of these matrix multisplitting iteration methods for the H-matrices of positive diagonal entries, and give numerical results to show the feasibility and effectiveness of the modulus-based matrix multisplitting iteration methods when they are implemented in the parallel computational environments.
专家简介： 白中治，中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院研究员、博导；现任科学与工程计算国家重点实验室副主任。获得2005年国家杰出青年科学基金，入选2006 年 新世纪百千万人才工程计划（国家级人选），获得国家教育委员会科学技术进步奖、获得中国科学院青年科学家奖二等奖、获得中国科学院自然科学奖三等奖等等。国务院政府特殊津贴获得者，主要从事线性与非线性数值代数，并行算法及其应用，数值最优化方法与理论，微分代数方程组的数值方法，数值偏微分方程等方面的 研究。任《Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computing"》、《Journal of Computational Mathematics"》、《Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics》、《Mathematical Modelling and Applied Computing"》、《Numerical Algorithms"》、《Numerical Linear Algebra with Applications"》等国际国内著名期刊杂志的编委。已经发表了180 余篇高水平学术论文。对计算数学的发展作出杰出的贡献。
