报告摘要:Surfaces with constant positive Gaussian curvature -- also known as spherical surfaces -- are closely related to harmonic maps into the 2-sphere via the Gauss map. There are no complete regular spherical surfaces other than the round sphere: however the harmonic map construction, or, alternatively the construction as parallel surfaces to constant mean curvature surfaces, gives naturally defined global spherical surfaces which have some singularities. It's a natural question in singularity theory to classify the generic singularities and their bifurcations. In this talk I will discuss how to construct the generic singularities and bifurcations using loop group methods.
