报告摘要:We begin by recalling some basic facts from linear error-correcting codes. A connection to the stabilizer formalism for quantum error control is explained. We then look at several CSS-type constructions and show how linear codes can be used. We end with an introduction to LCD code which was introduced in 1992 but gain new interest only recently due to nice cryptographic properties.
专家简介:Martianus Frederic Ezerman (Fred Ezerman) completed his university and master studies in Philosophy and Mathematics at Ateneo de Manila University in 2004, 2005, and 2007 respectively. He then obtained his Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2011, writing a dissertation on how to control asymmetric errors in quantum channels. He completed his one-year post-doctoral training in quantum information at Laboratoire d'Information Quantique, University Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium. He joined National University of Singapore's Center for Quantum Technologies (CQT) to work as a Research Scientist with the theory group in the years 2012-2013, He returned to NTU as a research fellow in the cryptology group in early 2014 and has remained with the group since. His research interests cover error-correcting codes, both classical and quantum, sequences for cryptographic applications, codes for DNA storage, and quantum-secure crypto protocols.
