报告摘要：Monash University is consistently ranked among the top ten universitiesin econometrics in the world. Professor Zhao will briefly introduce the econometrics teaching and research training offered at the Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics at Monash University at Melbourne Australia. She will then focus her talk mainly on the teaching and research in the field of Microeconometrics. Main issues of concern and new development in micro-data analysis, especially greater potentials offered by increasing availability of big data, and applications in the fields of health, education and labour economics will be discussion. She will discuss her own research in this field as illustrations.
专家简介：现为澳大利亚Monash大学计量经济学和商业统计学系教授、健康经济学研究中心研究员、博士生导师。 1983年毕业于北京大学数学学院，获理学学士学位；1988年毕业于清华大学经济管理学院，获经济学硕士学位；2000年毕业于澳大利亚University of New England，获经济学博士学位。在国际权威刊物“Journal of Econometrics”、“Journal of Business and Economic Statistics”，“American Journal of Agricultural Economics”等期刊发表学术论文50多篇，出版过专著《Economics and Marijuana: Consumption, Pricing and Legalisation》，主持完成澳大利亚国家科学基金项目多项，获得过多项科研奖励，指导毕业博士生多人。
