报告摘要：In this talk, we consider existence of multiple solutions to a class of quasilinear elliptic equations. Sign properties of the solutions are also studied. Such equations has a variational structure, but the associated functional is only formally defined. It is not well defined if we try to define it on large spaces, while it does not have compactness if we try to define it on small spaces. These difficulties prevent us from applying directly critical point theory. We shall recall methods developed in the literature in dealing with such equations. We shall also present some recent results obtained by Yongtao Jing, Zhi-Qiang Wang and myself.
专家简介：刘兆理，男，首都师范大学教授，博士生导师，从事非线性泛函分析及其应用方面的研究工作，在CMP等国际著名的学术刊物上发表论文50多篇，获得国家杰出青年基金，并被聘任为教育部长江学者。
